- ADAD437Exploreri run about a quart of af thru the pump then pour the rest down the p traps.
- MuddydogsExplorerI have blown the lines on 30 trailers for 10+ years and never had a problem with just running the pump dry for a minute or less.

I thought about that but mine is really hard to get to. Decided to run a gallon of AF through the lines after I blew them out which kind of defeated the purpose of why I wanted to blow them out as opposed to using AF. - Tim_NowickiExplorerI just remove my pump and take it indoors. That was a good thread/link.
I see 3 years later people are now pushing just air on the forum. I guess some will have issues and we'll then go back to the common knowledge we had back in 2012.
I buy a cheap toilet hose at the hardware store. Fits on my pump intake perfect, and the other end draws out of an AF bottle. Keep it with the rig, simple. - Empty_Nest__SooExplorer

Yes. Running it dry will pump the water out and air through it. Enough air so that nothing will freeze.
Wayne - RoyFExplorerI use anti-freeze; AF is passes through the water pump on it way to the hot and cold lines, so the pump must be full of AF after winterizing.
