I installed a "new" syphon kit on our new MH this month. I could not get the antifreeze to flow from the jug either. It would go 3/4 of the way up the tube to the pump and stop. Finally I disconnected it (siphon kit) and attached a hose ( which I purchased) with a fitting that would screw onto the pump coming from the water tank side. It worked fine with that setup.
I'm not saying that's your problem, just sharing some ideas. I have no idea why he new syphon li didn't work. Just bought it at camping world. It was probably sucking air from the water tank as it wasn't sealing completely.
