Sounds like your charging amps will be larger than your inverter amps... you do not need welding cables or even 4/0. If your batteries are charged by the converter it's probably only 55amps so you only need three short #4 AWG cables, not 4/0. Next you will hear it needs to be a balanced system but for the small amount of amps you will be using... forget it.
