To make a decision we usually ask ourselves "what's the worst thing that could happen" and if we have a plan to deal with that we go for it. We used that when we went full time and people were trying to talk us out of it. PS..as a military member, your son can sponsor you at the campground on Ft Sill. It's called Medicine Creek. Not fancy but convenient. Call for reservations for a full hookup site. There is also Lake Elmer Thomas Campground which is nice, but it's 12 miles from base. Sometimes we stay at Buffalo Bob RV Park in Lawton if we can't get into Medicine Creek.
