Yellow Mirrors, Ford E450

It has probably already been covered here, but I thought I'd share my results. My 06 Ford Four Winds class C mirrors have been progressively getting worse due to sun and weather exposure.
An easy fix if it bugs you like it did me. Krylon Fusion plastic paint, some painter's tape, and a fine grit sanding sponge.
I am happy now.

  • Need to do the same on ours and was going to use the Krylon.. thanks for the pics at least I know they'll look good! Almost easier to paint vs just getting them replaced.
  • Wow, great looking mirrors now. Mine are getting yellow on my 04 Jayco. I might give this a try. I assume this paint is available most anywhere, right? Lowe's, Home Deport, Ace Hardware, etc? Do you think the new paint will hold up for a long time? Thanks for the information.
  • Mine's a 2000 and they replaced them. Give it a try.
  • I have the same mirrors, not yellowed yet, but expect that to happen. Will use the Krylon paint at that point, that looks like new.

Easier fix isto contact Velvac, they replaced my mirrors at no cost. They had a problem with their paints for quite awhile. Give them a call, you might get a new set.

Really? Mine is an 06 Model. I wonder if they would warranty them as old as they are.
Guess I better call them. Thanx for the info!
