I probably have seen the issues of which you speak, at RV shows. It always amazed me that a $100K plus RV, at a show, would have little piles of wood fibers on the floor from where the cabinets rubbed together, inoperable cabinet doors and drawers, dripping faucets, loose vinyl flooring, broken chairs, mysterious damp spots, etc.
I was enlightened by seeing some 15-20 year old Bluebirds and Foretravels WITHOUT any such issues.
My pet peeve is $250K coaches where my 6-foot-even frame could not stand up straight in the shower.
I do believe there are great deals out there, but they are rare.
