    It's pretty fast. Meals in 1/2 hour, more or less. Slow cooking temps are much lower, and meals usually between 4-8 hours.

    Same here. I simply posted it to show how you can multi-task what is often a single purpose appliance.

    With that said, I do have a favorite pasta recipe that I used to make in the rice cooker, but have since moved to a dutch oven.

  • WOW!!! I was just thinking that taking my rice cooker would be taking up a lot of space for little use but with this, I could even justify bring it along. Thanks so much
  • I cut up 3 or 4 potatoes, a pound of smoked sausage, add bell peppers, and season with salt and pepper(I use a Cajun seasoning called Tony Chacherie's). Add water to cover the potatoes and sausage. set to cook and forget about it. Very easy and taste is amazing.

    I have also added corn to the mix.
