My definition of a diet is simply what you eat on a regular basis.
Opting for an food plan that leaves you wanting some form of food stuff isn't really the answer as I see it. Most people eventually slide off specialised "diets" in time yet they can be useful to kick start a new "thunk".
I guess I'm saying treat your body as an engine you care about and it'll treat you the same way.
You can slide on engine maintenance from time to time but doing it too regularly is disastrous in the long run.
