Just have the steak. Even carnivores sometimes make it to 100. :)
Also, if you are ok with leather, cosmetics and soap, you are not a vegan but a vegetarian. True veganism eschews use or consumption of any products containing animal products or by-products. I am a very staunch supporter of animal rights, but I'm still ok with being responsibly carnivorous. For example, if we have a chicken, we use every last part of that chicken, right down to boiling the entrails for soup stock.
That said, I like the website vegweb.com for a lot of great vegetarian recipes.
Good luck. I did the 30 day vegan challenge last year. Had a lot of fun and tried some great recipes but I was ready for a good medium rare porterhouse topped with crumbled bleu at the end.
