I purchase frozen biscuits and we do cook them on top of the stove in our RV or in our DO on the fire, if we have one. I have also put 2 in the microwave for about 1 minute 20 seconds and then brown each biscuit in a skillet with a small bit of butter.
The microwave ones are not quite as good as the ones that have been baked in the oven, but they are much better than canned biscuits.
This mornings frozen biscuits cooked on our cast iron griddle. I brown them, then flip, cover with a lid and "bake" on top of the stove.
