I have baked biscuits in an iron skillet on our gas range top a few times.
Grease or use PAM in the skillet.
Warm the skillet.
Open a can of biscuits, dust them with flour, place them in the skillet, touching each other.
Put a lid on them and bake/cook the bread...keep an eye on it and check the bottom of the biscuits using a wide spatula to just lift up enough to see the bottom.
When the bread is golden brown, use the spatula to "flip" the biscuits over....carefully :) put the lid back on and cook until the bottom is a nice color.
Take off the heat and let the bread sit a moment or two.
