We do 98% of our cooking outside, usually either on the Weber Q or the Camp Chef Explorer 2 burner stove under a 10x10 Ez-Up. Trying to come up with an easy to assemble rack that is compact for storage, to hang the cast iron skillet pans from above/behind the Camp Chef. One that is about 6' tall, maybe 4-5' wide. I may have room to store it in one of the fence post sleeves, or could add another one if needed.I have considered using 1/2" or 3/4" black pipe, or pvc (fear it will be to weak). Thinking basic U shaped design. A tee with 12-18" legs on the ground, then screw a post into the tee. Then either an elbow (or tee) the post would screw into for the horizontal pan hanger, or a larger elbow that will slip over the post and pin it to make it a little easier.So, any ideas? Have 5 skillet pans, plus the 2 Camp Chef Pro griddles which have some weight to them. I plan to hang a griddle on each side either just outside the post, or just inside the post.If you have pics, please post them.TY!

Only 2 disadvantages: It's heavy (weighs about 50 lbs.) and the material the countertops are made of are chintzy IMO. In general I only carry 2 CI pots (6" and 12" skillets)and the camp kitchen holds them securely along with other kitchen utensils and pots. Not sure of the weight load of the 3/4" pipes magnus recommended but I do know those pipe makes great curtain rods and are in use in my D/R holding double lined drapes which prolly weigh about 175 lbs in total. I would also consider using aluminum alloy tent poles since they break down nicely for storage purposes and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. HTH!

TY NYC!!! Didn't consider a homebrew from looking at a prebuilt!!! Sorry!!!So a trip to Home Depot resulted in some 1/2" black pipe. Only need to get some hooks mounted still to hang the pans. I was back and forth between the 1/2" and 3/4". Talked to the area manager (he was the one who came to cut and thread the pipe) about what I was doing, and he stood on a piece of 1/2" without any issues.I couldn't get a good pic with the rack standing, so laid it out on the ground.When assembled the legs are perpendicular to the cross pipe.The legs are 12" long on each side of the tee.The posts are 6'.The cross pipe is 4' between the tees, with a 6" piece on the outside of the tee.It seems pretty strong. I did a few pull ups on it and it held up, so should be just fine for the cast iron.Another project today was to see if my propane torch was hot enough to bend a 1/2" round steel rod. Actually fired up a second one which helped heat the rod up.Here is the result:First bend came out pretty good. Second one wasn't as good though, but it works!!! May try another attempt later this year to see if I can improve it. After cooling the bends with water, I used a scotch brite pad to clean up the triangle, and heated it up on the grill. Then seasoned it to prevent rust.Has 3 different pitches, so it's not monotone like some of the pre-made ones.Just need to make a striker now and buy some leather to hang the triangle bell.
