Thanks
Sorry, can't take credit for that.
Bought this setup at an RV dealer in Wisconsin in the 80's.
You might be able to find something similar online. - bigred1cavExplorerOut West, would you please put parts list and instructions on how you made that wonderful device?
Thanks - GoPackGoExplorerUs Out West - I now have major grill envy. If you don't mind my asking - What brand is the one you use and where did you get it ? PLEASE !
Thanks,
Tim - Go_DogsExplorerAlso handy is a rack from inside an old oven. As are the cast iron burners,(trivets).
- Ole_Man_DanExplorerI had a buddy make me a 20"X 36" grate out of expand-a-metal.
Reinforced with 1" angle Iron.
Big enough to throw over a fire and hold several things at the same time. - jkmcmomExplorer

Our dutch oven doesn't have the lid with the lip that will keep the coals from sliding off so we'll try it out & see what happens!
There are options for that. A lid rack will hold the bottom off of the coals, or 1/2 black pipe connectors from a home store will work well, needs 3.
For the lid, you can turn it over, but it's hard to check the food. The best options are either a ring cut from a #10 can, the big restaurant cans, or a shallow ring from AL foil. Basically with the foil just tear a slot for the handle to stick through and then roll up the sides to form a bowl for the coals. - jkmcmomExplorerThis is a great thread! I even had DH read the thread as he doesn't typically check the cooking section of the forum! More ideas for cooking outside the rig. We'll start out with taking an old rack with us. - SWMOExplorerThere are cast iron tripods avilable, Amazon is a good place to look for what's available.
