Auntie's Survival Chili
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 1/2 lb. stew meat 1 teaspoon salt
12 OZ can beer 1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 1/2 cups water 1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 cup whole tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon paprika
8 OZ can tomato sauce 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 OZ can chopped green chilies dash red pepper
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
Brown meat in oil and add rest of ingredients. Bring to boil; simmer, covered for 3 hours adding more water if needed. Stir occasionally.
All of the ingredients can be adjusted to suit your taste - I usually serve this the next day after all flavors have blended. Sour Dough or Corn Bread are great with this!
