- raychris1ExplorerWhen my wife makes quesadilla's she adds the Roast Beef. We like it. Have not tried it any other way.
- magnusfideExplorer III've always equated machaca with the jars of dried beef for SOS. Both are good.:c
- pianotunaNomad IIII make canned chicken into what I call "motor home soup".
Add one can of water, one can of mixed veggies, use the veggies can to measure macaroni elbows, add two Knor chicken broth cubes, and a can of peas.
Debone the chicken first. It yields about 10 servings of a nice hot soup. - D_E_BishopExplorerTo answer your question, NO. FYI, Costco usually has Harris Ranch Roast Beef in a bay. We stop at Harris Ranch on I-5 if we hit it at lunch time or if we're heading to Redding to visit the DSIL and it's close to Din Din.
Their beef is excellent and the stuff in the bag is as good as their restaurant food. My daughter works long hours and lives about 50 miles from her school, she uses the shredded chicken and beef in BBQ sauce because the teenagers at home love them and it's fast and easy.
Now that there are just two of us, we take all the leftover beef and or poultry and (separated of course) and depending on what flavor food we want put it in a pan with spices and onion and simmer it until shreadable and the when cool, freeze it in meal sized containers. I love machaca for breakfast and chili verde for lunch or dinner, I always use left overs up that way. - pinesmanExplorerWe always raise our own beef so different cuts are always available. We have canned our own roasts in qt. jars to use for a quick meal. When we were on a three week trip a couple years back, we used that with instant potatoes and canned gravy for a quick satisfying meal after a long day of sight seeing. It also makes good hash over rice or biscuits. The difference is we know exactly what we were putting in the jar and exactly what we were getting out.
- doxiemom11Explorer III have not had that brand, but 3 or 4 others. I always make beef and noodles with baby carrots. Always good. I do add a package of dry gravy mix and appropriate water so there is more gravy. Good meal for when we have been on the road all day.

I have to ask...was it chicken or turkey or could you even tell?
Ha ha ha. It was a chicken. Looked more like a pigeon in a can though. About that size.
I had initially wrote turkey in the little story, but started to recall it was chicken. I changed it to chicken in the story, but sadly missed a couple spots. - ROBERTSUNRUSExplorer:) Hi, I actually bought this canned food for my dog.
