:) - SpleenstomperExplorerThanks!
I used this recipe: My mom's raised doughnuts
Because you have to tweak for GF, I used 3 3/4 cup flour and then added 1/3 cup coconut milk. It took all day to rise. I thought it wasn't going to happen.
But these turned out to be the best GF donughts to date. - moonlightrunnerExplorerTry checking out the gluten free recipes on www.kingarthurflour.com
- SpleenstomperExplorerThanks! I read everything!
- The_Dung_BeetleExplorerI work with a gal who's very strict about gluten. I won't see her until Tuesday, but I think she's stumbled onto some website that is a huge help to her. It make take me a few days to REMEMBER but when I see her I'll ask her.
. - SpleenstomperExplorerMy kids are pretty good about trying all the GF stuff I cook.... They do have very low expectations, though. Lol. One thing I found that is always good is making coconut macaroons with GF flour. Yum!!!! Everyone loves them and they are so easy to make!
I would LOVE to hit on some recipes that are truly equivalent, but alas... Something is always missing with GF cooking.
I had my gallbladder out years ago and for some reason I can eat a high fat diet like it is nobody's business. That just never bothered me.
I'll let you know when the doughnuts are ready!
Geaux Saints!! Who Dat!!! - The_Dung_BeetleExplorer*Waving my hand*. I'm volunteering to be your "quality control" taster! I'll bring the coffee!! hehe
It's a football day here.. so it would be fun to have some donuts to munch on. Ever since I donated my gallbladder to science I don't each much of anything fried anymore. I'd love to hear how baking them turns out.
. - SpleenstomperExplorerLeo, my next step is to try baking them, thanks! I just don't know if GF will bake up right. Maybe I'll do a few baked ones today too.
