Oh, you came to the right person here! We've been using flat electric griddles (Presto) and really don't like fixing meals any other way. I run an extension cord directly from the shore power plug to the griddle or electric skillet.
Use used Coleman camp stoves for years, even one with a flat griddle. Still nasty to clean up, especially if fixing certain meats. Open fires are to eradicate to control temperatures. Propane stove inside the camper makes the inside of the camper unbearable hot! Electric skillet and electric griddles work great, both inside and out. Been doing it this way for years and years now.
