Gourmet Burgers

Here is a recipe for some great burgers.

About 1lb 85/15 ground beef
1 package of frozen chopped leaf spinach
1 small container of crumbled feta cheese
1/2 bottle of McCormick salad supreme seasoning.

Thaw the spinach and squeeze out the water. Then combine the feta cheese, salad supreme, and spinach with the ground beef. mix them all together very well then make your patties and grill them up. I promise you that you will not need any condiments to doctor up the burgers.
  • I like the spinach idea on sandwiches. I can handle it a bit better than lettuce. If it doesn't have sulfides on it I can handle them all better. Water cress like we use to get from some springs would be maybe good too.
Huuuuum Need to find some cress and put in the spring.

I gave it a shot the other day...I used Mexican fajita cheese I had left over and made a hollowed out area inside the burger for the cheese ( I have a press that does that) . Also added some onion flakes in the mix. Came out good..... thanks for the idea

Is it just me, or does burger and gourmet in the same sentence not sound right? LOL

It's a new world we live in. People wear pajamas to the store and even church now.

The Salad Supreme seasoning is what brings it all together. Unless you use the seasoning it will taste just like any other burger.

I think you right; the Salad Supreme is a blast from the past for me. Very good and lots of ways to make it work into something very good.

Looks tasty, will have to try it. Never thought of the spinach.

Italians have been using spinach or swiss chard in their meatballs, lasagna, and ravioli for centuries! This recipe does sound delicious so I'll have to try it soon.

  • We've been eating something very similar to this but browned and an egg binder for breakfast.
