Large skillet
I don't know how many griddles I have bought and given away. As recently as last year I bought a huge stainless steel one to cover both burners. Just two huge hot spots and it tries to warp.
So back to the old tried and true huge skillet. It evens out the heat or you can slide it off to the side to have a hot spot and a cooler spot to slide cooked things over. The sides prevent you from feeding the dogs so often. My mother gave me one of these and I had it hanging for almost two years before I gave it a try. You can cook large or small quantities and it will keep tons of fried potatoes nice and hot. Room to scramble eggs and fry bacon too.
Storage is not that bad. It is one that I will never part with.
