Funny thing is, in my circle at least, most of us only like GBC around the holidays. I wouldn't think of making it any other time. I think it's a classic "memory food"- without the right occasion/surroundings, it just doesn't taste right!
Sad news to report:
I made the mistake of buying an "off-brand" of (jellied) cranberry sauce- and it wasn't the bright red color of Ocean Spray! :M
I'm still trying to recover from the shock/disappointment...
