Induction Cooktop opinions

Hey All! I know this topic has been up before. I thought maybe someone had some new opinions. I was reading Amazon reviews. It seems some of the 1800 watt models are superfast powerhouses but can't seem to get to a lower temperatures, (simmering, melting chocolate, etc.). The 1300 watts aren't as powerful. I like the induction idea, but I would like to use it for low and high temps. Melting chocolate to wok stir-frying. Any recommendations? TIA

  • Hi Go Dogs,

The biggest problem is cooking pots. They must be of ferrous material (i.e. a magnet must stick to them).
