Liners for Slow Cookers?

Wife wants to know: can a turkey roasting bag be used as a slow cooker liner instead of those specialized products (which cost much more btw)?
  • I studied the box on both the slow cooker and turkey bags. And on the boxes that I read, it just looked like the turkey bags were rated slightly higher temperature range than the slow cooker bags.
  • IF you've neither liners or oven bags on hand a buttered or oiled parchment paper would work fine.

Thank you but the problem remains: parchment paper can't be found in every store. Herself wants an alternative to the aluminum foil (her words: too fiddly to line the crock and still leaks) that's durable enough to lift out the entire entree.

We can usually find those baking bags so it looks as though she'll go that route.
