Microwaving apples?

I got a microwave apple cooker at a garage sale for .50. It's 2 plastic shaped apples that you put your cored apple, raisins and brown sugar in, small amount of water and cook about 3 min in the microwave. Even DH can make them. I also have an onion cooker that will do the same thing..can use either onions or apples. You could probably find either at a kitchen equit. store..maybe even a Dollar Tree store or if you are lucky like me, a garage sale!
