New RV'ers looking for a good grill recommendation

X N+1 on the Weber Q1200. I have been using mine for about 6 months now and have retired the big Nexgrill.

What I have found out is I have better heat control using the 1lb bottles rather than the big bottle and the hose.

Nope. Right now I use the 1lb bottles, but will be getting the 6ft hose to use the larger bottles.

There's no external LP connection on my RV and I'm fine with that, I want the grease and smoke away from the camper, not right next to it :)

For two people, the Weber Q1000 or Q1200 (with the the electronic ignition) will serve your needs well.

Our son has the 1200 and is able to cook enough for four people; the grill will hold 8 hamburgers.

Webbers are great if you got more money than you know what to do with. however. The table top grills at Lowe's are great as well. at about 1/3 the cost of a Webber. Have one we have used for many years. Store easily, uses one, 1lb propane canister.

I would not buy an expensive grill that was not either cast aluminum or stainless steel. regular steel will rust out. I just bought a 2 burner stainless one at Lowe's for $100. that previous post reminds me that it appears to be identical to a $200 Cusinart except it has just a name plate where the Cusinart has a theremometer. :)

Customer Service is outstanding!

Two problems with the Webber, I have a low pressure gas point on the side of our teardrop so need a grill with out a regulator and room in the tongue box is limited so need small.
Have had a Nexgrill which is rusting (poor grade SS) from Costco but grate is failing and replacement is half the cost of the grill. A similar grill from Cuisinart appears to be made by the same Chinese manufacturer as the Nexgrill but with the addition of a thermometer and name plate.
