Thoughts on buying NuWare:
If you are interested in buying this product, I have some thoughts.
1. I think getting the Pro version is advisable.
2. I bought mine from Heathcare Inc. on the internet. Like many, they charge a bundle for shipping and handling. They also try to get you to buy more than you wanted to start with.
I wound up getting two Pro models of the NuWave cooktop plus the cookware and storage containers for a total cost of more than $350.00.
3. The cooktop is excellent – best I have ever seen, but the cookware is subpar. I have trashed it. One of the non-stick pans was not nonstick and the company wouldn’t replace it – bummer!
4. The four hard plastic vacuum containers are excellent, but the vacuum bags are a pain.
5. In my opinion, if you want to go the induction cooking option, unless you have cookware with magnetic properties – cast iron, etc, you will need a new cook set – not the one from Heathcare.
In my opinion, if you have storage space for it, Circulon Symmetry induction cookware is the best for this purpose -- about $300.00 from Amazon.
If you don’t have storage space for the Circulon then the Magma induction cook set, nonstick or not, is the next best – about $300.00.
These costs may turn you away from induction cooking.
6. If you search the internet, you can find the NuWave Pro for about $139.00. Two of those will be less than two plus the entries from Hearthware. I’d go with Amazon.
Good Luck!
