GoDogs I can think of a couple of things that might hider canning with it. I would be concerned about finding an induction friendly pot for canning, at least that was economical. They second thing would be the 9 or 9 1/2" heating area available for a canning pot full of jars with contents.
I'm thinking in terms of what my experience is, a big black porcelain pot or AL holding a rack of full jars. If a person was going to do small amounts, 4-5 pint jars it might work fine.
