Nuwave vs Salton
Hi,
I followed the siren song of the lower price ($40 cheaper and a pot) for the Salton induction cooker vs the NuWave.
The Salton works just fine--but only has ten temperature/power settings. I found the settings were either too hot or too cold for my needs.
I returned it to Walmart and got the NuWave. The NuWave has 52 power settings with some "presets". The presets seem to fit my cooking style pretty well--but it can be "tweaked" 10 F at a time if the "man in the apron" so desires.
The NuWave has a slightly smaller foot print--but is also somewhat thicker. Cost was $120.00
Going "flat out" both draw about 1300 watts.
I got lucky and the two pots I use most often work well. I did have to splurge on a new frying pan.
