NuWave Pro
You most likely know that NuWave is a stove top induction unit. It comes in two versions, the PIC2 and the pro version.
The PIC2 is rated at 1300 watts and the Pro at 1800 watts. I have the Pro. Some have asked about the differences in the two. Here is what I have found:
1. The PIC2 has a 9"diameter heating unit.
2. The Pro has a 9.5" diameter heating unit.
I have measured the output of the Pro version and find the following about the Pro output. The voltage was steady at about 120 volts.
Setting…...Amps….Watts
Off…......…0.60……3.2
Low…........0.62……76.6
Med Low....5.12…...612
Med…........8.53......1033
Med High...10.90.....1317
High..........13.20.....1594
Ser............13.56.....1630
Sorry about the formatting, but the forum doesn't allow for any good formatting stuff.
You will note that the Pro never reaches it's rating of 1800 watts. I have not found that to be a problem. It is very fast even making soup in a 6 quart stock pot half filled with stuff.
Good Luck!
