We're in "use 'em up" mode here, too. That's the trouble with stocking up when groceries are on special. Pretty soon, you're out of storage space. I tend to think of it like hoarding now, and really try not to overdo buying extras. Some will tell you that canned goods are fine well past the best-by-date, but we've found that many times the taste is affected. If I have some random ingredients, I'll put them in the search field of cooks.com and come up with very good recipes. The Bisquick casserole recipes are a case in point and open to all kinds of additions, depending on what you have. Anybody have a favorite "surprise" meal?
