The ones I had were molded by hand. The bottoms are flat. From the marks on them, I think they laid the formed pb mixture on a dinner fork to dip them in the chocolate coating.
I used to buy them from a local church lady - they did it for a fundraiser. The size of the plastic easter eggs would be way too much.
They are rich, and a little goes a long way. They are good though.
They are so good, I haven't gotten any for a number of years. I don't partake of an over abundance of sweets, but when these things are in the house... well, lets just say they are made to be consumed.
