My sister got an induction stove for her house, then discovered that most of her cookware wasn't flat enough on their bottoms. She had to buy all new pots and pans just to use the new cooktop.
I recall the morning we were over to visit, and my BIL was trying to make us french toast. He was fuming because the induction top wouldn't heat the pan up evenly. Sister walked over and looked at it eventually, and figured out that the "burner" was set (via a switch) for small diameter heating; he had a big frying pan on it. lol
