pressure cooker recommendations?

vic46 you'll find that not all SS will work. Most SS has to much nickel in it. Generally anything that is 18/0 is compatible.

Why would you not use aluminum? I used one yesterday (Presto) that was a hand me down over 50 years ago and it cooked fine. What am I missing?

Yes, why not aluminum? It is very heavy duty and something that lasts that many years with as much use as I give them is quality indeed.

Induction cook tops will only work with FERROUS metals. Therefore aluminum or copper, for example, will not work with an induction device. Stainless steel clad copper is fine. I received an NuWave cook top as an
Xmas parcel. I was, at a minimum, sceptical. I am now a true fan of the device. Quick, clean and easy to use.

We have a T-Fal that has a large skillet and a pot, probably 6 qt, with one top that does great for meals. I don't know if it is still available however. You can find a lot of large ones because of canning needs, but I would avoid them for what you need one for.
Something like this should work well.

Thanks everyone...just purchased a fagor (that is a brand I was eyeing anyway) in the six quart size...there are just two of us using it and don't want it too big for rv.

If need be I can get a bigger one later one...this is a trial:)

Mirro or Presto. Both have been around for a long time. I still have the one my mother got me that I've had for about 38 years. I think it is a Mirro but can't find any marking on it. Still works great.
