Buy some dowels that are about 1" thick. At least as thick as a hot dog.
You could wrap the part going over the fire with non stick foil or spray with Pam. Wrap the dowel with your choice of canned biscuit dough and cook over fire. In the mean time have hot dogs hot in water or fry in a skillet or cook over the fire. When the dough is cooked, slip it off the dowel and slip a hot dog in the hole.
You should beable to buy pie irons at WalMart. There use to be a web site at pieirons.com with recipies.
