I buy pre-grated 99% of the time. But I read somewhere that it works better to grate your own for macaroni & cheese due to the added stuff. Something to do with faster melting without added stuff... Or whatever.
So for that I buy block cheese and run it through the food processor. Not sure it really makes a difference.
Grating Velvetta any way you try it is a bear. LOL!
