Slaw recipes

I finely shread the cabbage and just add mayo and sugar to taste.
I get many compliments on it!
When I make it there is too much for me so I give half to a friend of mine down the street. She has given some to friends and her cousin. Her cousin always asks if I have any more???

We like to makes things easy so I buy the prechopped coleslaw, toss in some Kraft Coleslaw dressing, then throw in a couple teaspoons if celery seed. It's fast and just they way we like it. I don't have to measure out everything, just throw it together and enjoy! The Kraft Coleslaw dressing can be found usually in the section where the salad dressing and mayonnaise is located.

1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup each canola oil and cider vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
celery seed, salt, and pepper

Shake in a jar and pour over a bag of precut slaw. Best if made a couple of hours before serving.
As a side note, make the same dressing but omit the celery seed. Use on chopped broccoli,cauliflower, and onion.

For me, the perfect cole slaw comes from Red Lobster. I've seen copycat recipes on the net and I even tried one. Close but no cigar. Got to have the real thing I guess.

1 cup mayo
2 Tbl. milk
2 Tbl. apple cider vinegar
3 Tbl. sugar
sprinkle of salt
sprinkle of pepper
Optional 1/2 teaspoon celery seed

Shredded medium head of cabbage and shredded carrot.

Here is my mom's coleslaw...
shredded cabbage, diced onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and fresh tomatoes with a couple tablespoons of mayo and salt and pepper. If I don't have cukes or green peppers that is okay to, I just leave it out. LOL! I love it with fish or pinto beans. I normally throw it together and then chill it in frig for an hour or so before eating.
