OH! I totally forgot about the infamous twist key to unlock the treasures within! What a fun trip down memory lane! Now that we have evolved to a pull-top, maybe I should re-visit it! :)
While this is fun, I know my parents fed it to me as a kid because it was all we could afford. I do remember it being a treat. Further, we know there are plenty of folks today that struggle - the more things change, the more they stay the same. Here's hoping that those that depend on SPAM and the like for sustenance today can some day look back nostalgically as we are.

Spam isn't so cheap anymore. It's nearly $3/can around here, and it might feed 2 people. When I cook it, since I'm the only one that eats it, I eat about half the can and share the other half with my doggies.
