SPAM isn't my favorite food, but on more than one occasion when there's four feet of snow on the ground and more blowing sideways, it sure is nice to know that there's SPAM in the kitchen. Let's face it. Any meat product that doesn't look like the animal it came from, is suspect. That includes lunchmeat of any kind. The labels usually include the words "Chopped, pressed and formed".
When I was in the Navy, SPAM was on the menu from time to time, usually for breakfast. Those cooks were magicians. Right in front of me, they could fry an egg on the griddle so that the yolk was hard and the white was runny. Now that's talent.
