The Periodic Table of Meat

The Periodic Table of Meat

Check out the Key Meat Facts at the bottom
Bacon is the "meat of life." Without bacon, life on earth as we know it could not exist.

Noble Meats are named as such because they rate the highest on the Glanburg "Yumminess Scale." Lowest-ranking meats include Pig's feet, Spam and Roadkill.

...etc.
  • Back in the day when we ate what was on the table or went hungry.
Spam was welcome and we where glad to get it.
And still eat it on occasion.

I take exception to SPAM being low ranked.
Every since I was a Boy Scout, and to this very day when I am an old RVer, SPAM and Camping have always gone together.

    Spam and Eggs
Spam sandwiches or Spam, colby cheese slices and Ritz crackers
Spam cubes used in Pie Iron recipes.

I agree 100%! I'd be eating Spam today if it didn't cost so much, though! Used to love a fried Spam sandwich on toasted bread with cheese and mayo. Same thing with cubed Spam with rice and a bit of soy sauce.

You can keep the spam. I agree with the periodic table of meat on that one.

  • One can never have enough.

We also love side pork (uncured bacon) when available.

Now that we are settled in for the winter in Casa Grande we'll be visiting one of our favorite butcher shops in the area...The Pork Shop, to stock up on a few things.
  • I believe that simply the smell of bacon cooking creates space in my belly for it, even if I've just finished a 7 course meal. As close as I can come to the perfect food. It improves eggs, salads, and all sandwiches. I've even made and eaten a BLT without the L or T. Mayo and white bread are its friends. :)
  • Common knowledge. My Maltese told me that years ago. He can also smell a McDonalds before we see it!
