I usually add half & half cream, butter and salt & pepper in my mash potatoes. If I'm serving ham I add to this cream cheese and chopped green onion.
Last Thanksgiving I cheated and served Costco gourmet mashed potatoes for 20 people, very good. I spooned out the potatoes into a large buttered casserole and dabbed some butter on top, covered casserole with foil and stuck it in the oven.
