My family loves my version of mashed potatoes, and I cook them as most have said above, adding some whole milk, butter, salt, etc. But my secret 4th ingredient is Miracle Whip. Add about a tablespoon per 4 servings. Be sure to warm up this mixture before adding to the potatoes after they are mashed.
