One word: rubbery. We make up a juice jug full of homemade pancake dough and just pour out what we want into a hot cast iron fry pan. It only takes a minute or two to heat up the pan. Plop some blueberries or strawberries into the dough once it's in the pan.
Even when it's been in the fridge for a week our homemade batter still tastes better than Wally World's. When it starts to go a little flat, we add a teaspoon of baking powder to the jug and shake to bring it back up again. Cheaper than that packaged product and we know what's in it.
