Take the burner tube out to really be able to get the bottom pan clean. One screw holds it in. Note: If you are running this on a large propane tank connected by hose, be sure that when you turn on gas initially on the tank, that you let the hose pressurize for at LEAST 1 minute before lighting. There is device in it that will turn off full flow and it will not light. I have made this mistake several times on both of my Q's. We also use foil in the drip tray for easy clean-up.
