- Leo_BensonExplorerAnything by Penzey's. I have two cabinets with just spices and seasonings, oils and vinegars!
I use Penzey's shallot pepper blend in almost everything.
Favorite flavored balsamics and olive oils are from Ariston in CT. Simply the best- won't use any other brand.
And a second vote here for Tapatio hot sauce from San Diego.
Also love Milletello's Cajun olive oil from the farmer's market in Baton Rouge. - WanderlostNomad III make Emeril's Bayou Blast without salt (recipe is online), and it's my favorite blend.
Also:
Mrs. Dash original and table blend
Tabasco red and green
Tabasco chipotle sauce
Cholula chili lime sauce
Cumin
Onion powder
Garlic in various forms
Dried cilantro
Ginger powder
These are on board the RV for every trip. If I managed to plan menus, other spices may make it on board, too. - We_Cant_WaitExplorerOld Bay Seasoning
Curry Powder
Badia Complete Seasoning (P/U in Tampa) - rockhillmanorExplorer IIFirst of all I will NOT buy any seasonings with MSG in it. Sadly 99% of all seasonings have MSG in them.
Read up all what MSG does to your body and you won't ever eat anything with MSG in it ever again! :W
I digress! Here is my "Go To Seasonings":
Garlic Powder and Onion Powder. Emphasis on 'powder' NOT salt.
Never leave home without these two.
And my new one I'm hooked on for everything is McCormick Grill Mates 'Montreal Steak'. Great on chicken, pork and any beef. No need to even put anything else on but this. Has the salt and pepper right in it.
For no salt, no sugar, no MSG it's Chef Paul seasonings all the way!

When the day is done if there was only one I could take with it would be Chef Pauls' Steak Magic.
I pour the whole bottle thru a fine strainer first to get rid of the fennel seeds in it and then put it back in the bottle. I love the seasoning but didn't like crunching on the seeds so I just sift them out!
Steak Magic Seasoning makes chicken taste unbelievable!!
FYI: I found you can't get all caught up on only using a seasoning that is labeled for that particular meat.
My two best seasonings for chicken are labeled for steak! Go Figure! :B - mikeleblanc413ExplorerTHANKS TO EVERYONE! Some of the seasonings I have never heard of and they will definitely be on my "shopping" list. I'm basically a black pepper, ground curry and very little sea salt. I have found that not all black pepper is created equal. I'll enjoy rereading to make sure I've missed nothing and I'll certainly enjoy experimenting! I'll keep you posted.
- NCWriterExplorerLawry's Seasoned Salt has been my main seasoning for decades, along with fresh ground pepper.
In recent years, I've used a lot of Mrs Dash Chipotle seasoning. Great for quesadillas, black bean soup.
Also Victoria's Sesame Ginger seasoning - ideal on broiled or grilled salmon, love it sprinkled on roasted asparagus.
Those four plus Montreal Steak Seasoning go with us on all RV trips. - happynowExplorerGoodness. I forgot to mention Old Bay Seasoning.I am from Maryland, we use it on most anything. Amazing for steamed shrimp and crabs. Nice on pork chops, sauted, chicken also.
- HappytravelerExplorerWon't leave home without Salt & Pepper, Bay Leaves, Garlic Powder and Chili Powder. Actually like all seasonings except Rosemary and Curry.
- magnusfideExplorer IIHerself loves to use pure sesame oil on the steamed veg. It gives the veg a nice nutty flavor. It's in the Asian foods section of the store.
Also we will use garlic salt, kosher or sea salt and pepper. - trailerbikecampExplorerI use onion powder (when fresh onions are otherwise unavailable), garlic powder, Montreal steak spice, for chicken I use Montreal chicken spice. DW uses Mrs Dash, and Costco No Salt Seasoning.
