A bit of switching around for the morning meal. I had the oatmeal souffle; he had smoked salmon and sunny side ups and the lil grrlie ate the marscapone pancakes and fruit; I just told her marscapone was like sour cream and she was fine;).
Rolling Thunder took over the Mall, in part for a political rally, and we decided to change our plans around to get a bit further away from the maddening crowds.
Rented some bikes and then off to the Lincoln Memorial(finally made it there after almost 15 years of visiting DC) and Theodore Roosevelt Island, we went. Next stop was a restaurant @ the National Gallery of Art for a tasty and nicely priced meal(about 20 bucks per person). Here's the place we ate at although there are at least 3 other places on site with different price points:

Walked back to the hotel for the old people's afternoon siesta and decided to bypass seeing the concert live since we could hear it from the hotel and watch it on TV in real time.
Ordered some burgers, salad and fries for all and an ice cream shake for the grand baby.
