Who is cooking your father's day dinner?

I've talked to a number of my buddies today and we are all cooking our own F-Day meal. Made me kind of curious if that was pretty common.

I'm making pork tenderloin, tortellini and artichokes.

    Yum!!
  • I boiled up some pink shrimp and crab legs at Curry Hammock SP. Great time.

Was the tomatoes ripe or green?
  • I cooked a pork roast in the slow cooker along with a Greek salad and steamed broccolli.
  • I made dinner, but then, I always do. This is the latest chapter in the continuing saga of "Adventures With Cast Iron."

Teriaki chicken drumsticks, with a sauce recipe that my son shared with me, that he got from Allrecipes.com and modified slightly. Turned out very good, with no leftovers.

Nice! Which dutch oven is that? Looks vintage.

That's actually a Wenzel 1877 from a wooden crate set that my daughter gave me some years ago. It's a 12", 7 quart, no legs on the pot but a camp oven lid. It's Chinese, and was really, really rough inside, so I smoothed it with an angle grinder with a flap wheel, and seasoned it well. Made a stand out of rebar to keep it off the coals. Been having fun with it ever since!
