2. Oak Lawn Park (horse racetrack) in Hot Springs, AR - Gonzo42ExplorerI've eaten Ruben sandwiches in a lot of restaurants, cafes, delis, etc, etc, etc. One thing I've noticed is that they lack one specific ingredient which is Russian Dressing. How many of these places do you know that ever have Russian Dressing?
- Jim_ShoeExplorerCertainly not a destination, but if you're passing thru the Greater Cincinnati area and your tongue is hanging out for a Reuben sandwich, try Izzy's . There are several in the area, but the original Izzy's downtown put on quite a show when I was working in downtown Cincinnati. You ordered at the counter, ate your Reuben and potato pancake, walked up to the cash register, told Izzy what you ate, and he told you what to pay. The price varied depending on how you were dressed.
Izzy and his wife carried on a never ending fight behind the counter. That was the free entertainment. Alas, Izzy and his wife are no longer with us, but the Reubens are still the same. They even have some non-kosher items on the menu now, but the Reubens are the stars. - Gonzo42ExplorerCanter's Deli

Los Angeles, California 90036. Been there almost a century. Also the leanest pastrami I've ever seen.
Spoiler: I don't think there is any parking room for an RV anywhere near. - mdamerellExplorer

While I wouldn't haul my trailer there, the best I've had was at Katz's Delicatessen, 205 East Houston Street, New York City.
Katz's is awesome! - magnusfideExplorer II

IMO Arby's makes a very good Reuben sandwich and they have stores everywhere. The best is based on a personal opinion and who is going to drive that far to be sure?
Since we're RVers, it's good to have these suggestions for those times we are in the same vicinity. :w - NomadacExplorerIMO Arby's makes a very good Reuben sandwich and they have stores everywhere. The best is based on a personal opinion and who is going to drive that far to be sure?
- linnemjExplorerIf you are passing through Knoxville, TN on I-40 try The Holy Land Deli. Fantastic Reuben Sand. and much more. Walter, the owner is worth the stop itself.

Any Jewish New York deli! :B
That's where I always head for.
Those are great too. Then there's two schools of dressing for the Reuben:
Thousand island dressing
Or
Not thousand island
That is the question.
What is your favorite beverage to go with a Reuben? I like a dark ale.
