Camping in this economy
How many people are camping and how far are they traveling?

Most of our camping is within 30 miles of the house, with occasional forays 100-400 miles away. DH is retired and I work 20 hours a week, mostly from home so we've been able to go at least once a month since last summer. Now that it's spring, we'll probably go more often. We live about 30 min from a lovely COE, so it's very easy to pick up and go. And if for some reason, I need to run into Atlanta to go to work, it's not such a long drive. I also do field work for my company, so sometimes we take the camper and go to a nearby state park a day ahead. They I can do my home visits while DH relaxes at the campground. I get paid salary and mileage anyway, so I might as well make the trip a two-fer one
