finally booked

booked an overnighter this Saturday at a local park to try out the new baby. We camped with my daughter at 4 months but he has her beat. he will be 7 weeks old. Any tips? What to try him out early since we haven't been able to get out this year and we have a better trip booked for august.
  • Don't forget to search for Junior Ranger programs ( when the kids get a little older) during your travels. We did ten new badges a few weeks ago during a 9 day trip. The adults enjoy it as much as the kids. :)
  • Thanks guys. looking forward to it. and yes my son and daughter who total about the weight of my left leg have more than double what my wife and I have in the camper. that comment made me laugh.
  • Go for it. We took all our kids sailing at very young ages (daughter was 2 weeks old) Very similar to RV.
This summer we'll have our 5 month old granddaughter on the boat for 2 weeks. Later she'll be in the RV

As stated above - warm, dry, fed and also sun protected.

Good luck finding enough storage for all the luggage little ones come with.
  • Last year, We took our 12 week old granddaughter to see her other grand parents. She was fine. I won't tell you about her father.

    Matt
  • We went with our granddaughter at 17 days. Keep them warm, dry and fed and all will be right with his world.
  • :) ya the camper is one of the better things ive every spend money on IMO.

that said there is NO slowing down taking my 2.5 year old camping haha. cant wait though.

    Kudo's!
It is SO good to see families that still enjoy being together and taking the time to slow down
and enjoy an RV road trip and the outdoor life together. :C

Congrats on the new baby boy!
