Recommend RV Parks in Missouri and Arkansas

Family Friendly
  • Lake Catherine SP in Arkansas. Great swimming area, pontoon boat rentals, clean bathrooms and good spacing between the camps
  • We camped at Lake Dardanelle SP. Very nice. Some full hookups. We explored Petite Jean SP(rv sites are nice)' Mt. Nebo SP(don't pull a trailer up there unless it is small)and Mt. Magazine SP(nice lodge, good food. No view from campground). Bull Shoals SP below the dam has some FHU.nice campground.

Petit Jean in Arkansas is one of the nicest parks I have ever stayed in. Go there at lest once a year. It has miles of hiking trails through the Ozark Mountains.
    Thanks for this tip!

  • While you are waiting for responses search this Forum in the RV Parks section for each state to read what has already been posted.
  • All Missouri State Parks are excellent. Petit Jean is a pretty park in Arkansas.
  • Experience with parks in Missouri and Arkansas are limited to two in my travels to Ft. Leonard Wood to see my son graduate from Basic Training 4 years ago.

Arkansas - Lake Ouichita State Park (I think that was the spelling!). Hands down, state parks don't get any better than that one! 'Nuff said.

Missouri - Bennett Springs State Park. An interesting park. Fish hatchery was very interesting, along with all the fly fishing going on. The worst signage I've encountered in a park. Good hiking. Sites were stacked like dominoes in the section down by the river. Up (and I do mean up!) a very steep hill were other areas for RVs, probably more wooded, I'd check those out if my travels took me through that part of the state in the future.

    Hope it helps!
