Experience with parks in Missouri and Arkansas are limited to two in my travels to Ft. Leonard Wood to see my son graduate from Basic Training 4 years ago.
Arkansas - Lake Ouichita State Park (I think that was the spelling!). Hands down, state parks don't get any better than that one! 'Nuff said.
Missouri - Bennett Springs State Park. An interesting park. Fish hatchery was very interesting, along with all the fly fishing going on. The worst signage I've encountered in a park. Good hiking. Sites were stacked like dominoes in the section down by the river. Up (and I do mean up!) a very steep hill were other areas for RVs, probably more wooded, I'd check those out if my travels took me through that part of the state in the future.
Hope it helps!
